Game description
Cash Register
A cash register appears on the table, along with some products and their prices. Time to add it all up! Get the total right and the cash register drawer will spring open with a satisfying “Ka-ching!” Play solo or against each other; either way it’ll keep the brain working and the result will boost players’ confidence.
Tips
Make the game more fun
- Race to be the first to work out the total cost. Who can get it right before the rest?
- Read out loud the items that need paying for to give the group a head start.
Level
Level 5
Games at this level challenge the brain’s executive functions, in charge of skills like planning and decision-making. These games work best for players in the earlier stages of dementia; they can be too demanding for those in the middle or later stages.
