Molehunt

One by one, moles pop up from the ground. Players must tap them to push them back into their holes. The faster they’re pushed back, the more points are earned! Because moles also appear at the centre of the table, players are encouraged to make big, reaching arm movements. Working toward one shared score means players can point out moles to each other and celebrate together as the final score is revealed.

Tips

Make the game more fun

• Use a foam-rubber tube or something similar to increase the reach of players’ arms.
• Ask players if they ever had a mole in their garden. What did they do about it?

Level 4

It is possible to make ‘mistakes’ while playing these games. The goal is to encourage players to think and reason. Their choices and reactions shape whether or not they reach the final goal.

  Physical effect

  Games with a physical component elicit intuitive movements and respond to even the smallest of hand movements of the players. This increases their self-confidence and motivates them to continue playing and moving.

  Fun is something you experience with each other. Games that stimulate the social domain promote interaction and social contact between the care workers, players and visitors.
