Operator first in US to pilot portable, interactive technology across care settings
Tover technology often is associated with memory care, but a North Carolina continuing care retirement / life plan community recently became the first US site to pilot-test a portable version of the interactive technology for other long-term care levels.
Tryon Estates, an Acts Retirement-Life Communities community in Columbus, NC, recently completed a six-week pilot of the Tovertafel Pixie, a portable unit allowing interactive games to be projected onto ceilings, walls or tabletops. The technology comes from Tover, makers of the Tovertafel or Magic Table, already a fixture in many senior living communities.
